Big Cycling groups!

Critical Mass:
  • www.criticalmasslondon.org.uk
  • London mass meet 6pm on the last friday of every month on the South Bank under Waterloo Bridge, by BFI & National Theatre
  • SE London Critical Mass meet every first friday of the month outside Peckham Library at 6:30 (DEC 5th)
  • there is no planned route - it is up to whoever is in the front where to go. if there are enough cyclists then it becomes 'critical'-  a mass of cyclists that can take over a road and ride together in safety 
  • quote off website: House of Lords appeal won! "is commonly or customarily held procession without organizers and therefor does not need to inform the police of each ride"

London Friday Night Skate and Sunday Stroll

  • skating group meet each week Friday at 5/8pm at Hyde Park conner roundabout
  • ride last two hours and is split into a medium paced section followed by a ten minute half break then a faster section
  • loads of past route maps (using google map/route planner)

The London Cycling Campaign:
  • give grants for cycling community projects (i briefly read we may of missed deadline but useful contacts advice)
  • lists when cycling groups meet http://www.lcc.org.uk/index.asp?PageID=759 - Georgette be good to go through and make a table of all the groups emails and numbers/when they meet

  • marshal at front/ musical rickshaw  marshals at back?
  • first aiders on head cycling clearly visable
  • do we need to inform the police?
  • contact critical mass for musical bike people
  • details time/place to start finish/ half way point stop?
  • how long do we want it to be for hour/hour n half/two hours?
