26th canteen meeting
Wednesday, 19 November 2008
Hi Briony.
This is Owen here, I left this message on Facebook which you said to send to this address. I’m studying at Camberwell university of the arts and I’m in my second year studying 3d Design
What I am basically doing at the moment is working as part of a group on my course on an external project. The project is aimed at getting ourselves noticed in the public eye. Our idea is based around eco-friendly design. We are aiming to do something with bikes promoting them as an eco-friendly form of transport and we are thinking of ways of doing so. Another of our ideas is to possibly build an eco-friendly boat that would go in a canal that would also aim to promote what we do.
We have a to give a presentation of our proposal on the 28th of November. It would be great if we could show you our proposal as well and get your opinion and have a chat to see what you think and if you would be interested getting involved to.
And personally eco-design is a great interest to me and I aim to continue studying and researching the field more and more. I recently read John and Nancy Todd’s 'From eco-cities to living machines', which I found truly inspirational and really got me motivated to find out as much as I can.
Thanks
Owen
